Muay thai evolved from the older muay boran (ancient boxing), an unarmed combat method which would have been used by Siamese soldiers after losing their weapons in battle. Chaweng Thai Boxing Stadium is Samui’s biggest Thai Boxing Stadium and fights featuring Thai and International fighters are held three times a week. Starting time is normaly at 9 pm with admission fees range from THB 500 Baht to THB 1500.
